Under-23 worlds in Las Vegas: senior medalists, first-time finalists, and styles that have not been found out yet.
Las Vegas hosts the U23 world championships from 12 to 18 October, with freestyle, Greco-Roman and women's wrestling all on the programme. A week later the senior meet begins in Astana. The two events are not a double-header. They are different sports problems.
Under-23 fields mix athletes who already know a senior final with athletes for whom six minutes at this level is still a new length of time. The scramble often belongs to the younger wrestler. The minute after a failed attack often belongs to the one who has been embarrassed in public before and has built a habit for it.
A gold in Las Vegas is not a reservation for 2028. It is evidence that a style survived a full international bracket. NVWF will cover it on those terms.
